About Our Church

Walk With Us

Wherever you are on your faith journey, you are welcome at St. Benedict. May you feel the presence of the Holy Spirit in this place. Here, you have found a diverse and engaged faith community that welcomes all kinds of people and families.

We were named after St. Benedict of Nursia, who wrote a “rule of life” for monks and nuns that placed hospitality, community, and prayer at the center of a holy life. We seek to practice those same values in this place.

St. Benedict lists itself on GayChurch.org as a church that welcomes and affirms LGBTQ+ individuals and their families.

Jesus accepts all at
His table; So do we.

We believe the Iona Invitation speaks best of our mission and beliefs at St. Benedict.  we recite it as a community during each Sunday service:

This is the table, not of the Church but of Jesus Christ. It is made ready for those who love him and who want to love him more. So come, you who have much faith and you who have little; you who have been here often and you who have not been here for a long time or ever before; you who have tried to follow and you who have failed.

Come, not because the Church invites you; it is Christ, and he invites you to meet him here.
