Whether you are new to St. Benedict or have been a member for many years, all are welcome to become an active participant in the worship service. There are many ways you can make difference in the worship life of our church.
Members of the Altar Guild, ready the bread, wine, chalices and linens in preparation for the celebration of the Eucharist.
Acolytes carry the cross and candles in procession and recession, and assist the priest in setting the Lord's Table during the service.
Lectors read the Old and New Testament lessons during the service.
Chalice Bearers lead the reading the Psalm, lead the responsive prayers and assist the priest in serving the Eucharist.
Ushers distribute the bulletins, help those in attendance find seating, and collect the offering.
Greeters along with the priest, welcome those in attendance at the close of the service.
Coffee Hosts provide a sweet treat in the parish hall during fellowship time after the service.
Counters tally the offering.
