LayMINISTRY
The purpose of our Lay Ministry is to assist in the worship service experience.
Our lay worship assistants include:
Altar Guild, who ready the bread, wine, chalices and linens in preparation for the celebration of the Eucharist,
Acolytes, who carry the cross and candles in procession and recession, and assist the priest in setting the Lord's Table during the service
Lectors, who read the Old and New Testament lessons during the service
Chalice Bearers, who lead the reading the Psalm, lead the responsive prayers and assist the priest in serving the Eucharist.
• Ushers, who distribute the bulletins, help those in attendance find seating, and collect the offering
• Receptions for special occasions
• Greeters, who, with the priest, welcome those in attendance at the close of the service
• Coffee Hosts, who provide a sweet treat in the parish hall during fellowship time after the service
• Counters, who tally the offering
