The disciples were hiding out in a house in Jerusalem after Jesus ascended into heaven, scared to do much more than be together. When God’s Holy Spirit came upon them at the first Pentecost, it wasn’t that they received courage, wisdom, or a nice bottle of wine but that they started speaking in other languages. Read more
